When I was a little girl, I carried around a camera attached to my wrist everywhere I went. When a roll of film was full, my dad would drive me up to Eckerd’s to have it developed. The three day wait seemed like weeks. I would immediately open the paper envelope at the counter and hold my breath as I carefully scanned each image. Even at a young age, I was enthralled with capturing precious memories.
When I show up as your photographer, your session means so much more to me than taking pretty images. Although I’m constantly managing the light, capturing perfect angles, movement and technical matters, that’s not my main focus.
As I work to elevate your brand, document your child’s senior year, family or wedding, I am very present with the idea that these images will someday become priceless heirlooms. It is always an honor and privilege and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly.
Your clients want to know if they can trust you. They desire a connection that goes beyond the typical sales experience. Your online visual representation translates your vision, what you believe and who you are on a deep level. My Visual Branding Experience is so much more than your typical headshot. It translates your mission in a powerful way, enabling you to connect with your audience authentically, with clarity and transparency. Through the VBE process, we collaborate to communicate your message in a way that exclaims your unique signature to the world.
I could literally photograph seniors all day, everyday! Their excitement and energy is palpable and contagious! They are so filled with joy and anticipation, and it’s so much fun to witness and document!
I have to say, I truly have the most wonderful clients. Really. We usually connect right away, and the whole session feels like we’re just hanging out and chatting!
My senior photography sessions are all about making memories. There’s a lot of talking, laughing and fun going on! I’m a huge fan of movement and authenticity is everything to me, so there are very few moments when my clients are standing still or stuck in a static pose. Something else my clients will tell you is that I am talking, encouraging and directing the entire time. I give very specific instructions and then allow my clients to make the movement their own. I find that this puts everyone at ease and infuses some fun and spontaneity into the session.
It is such an honor to document the exciting time as a senior prepares to leave high school behind and embark on their college career. This is truly one of my favorite things to photograph! The sessions are filled with laughter, excitement and joy!
Family is everything to me, and capturing the love shared is so, so important to me. I know that these images will hang on walls, be shown to countless people on your phone and will be cherished for decades to come. I keep this thought ever-present as I work hard to document your family in an authentic way.
Experiencing the sacred time between expectation and fruition is a holiness I will never take for granted. Documenting the time right before a woman holds her baby in her arms for the first time is one of my absolute favorite things. There’s a sweet, delicate expectation in the air and the hope is palpable. When the session is over and she invariably says, “It’s been so long since I’ve felt this comfortable and beautiful,” my eyes fill with grateful tears. This is more than a profession to me. It’s heart work and I’m so, so thankful for this gift.
There is no greater honor than documenting the culmination of two souls finding each other, two families becoming one or the fruition of a lifetime of hopes and dreams. The look of absolute adoration on a groom’s face, the silent tear that finds its way down a grandparent’s face, seeing the visceral joy as a newly married couple walks down the aisle towards their destiny… This is my why. It is an absolute honor and privilege to be trusted to document this sacred time, and I work hard to do it in a way that translates your wonderful day in an authentic way that will be treasured for generations to come.
